[shadow=red,left,300]Akira[/shadow]
Dark daggers dug into the soft ground, a crunching sound filled the silent air as rubble was crushed beneath the large animal. The wind was still, but the unmoving air seemed chilly. Black pillars came to a halt, a delicate dial of a stallion being thrust into the air. Nostrils flared as he sucked in the air. The stallion was of the Oldenburg breed, tall, delicate, agile. His name, Akira. He did not particularly like his name, but he was OK with it. It came from the language of Japanese, meaning 'bright'. He thought of it as a more girly name, but he had always accepted it in his short 7 years of life. He recognized the place he stood, but he had not been in this place for a long time. He did not know much f his past, but he definitely remembered New York. Black orbs looked around him carefully. Akira swished his long banner. Many thought ran through his head, but he quickly shook them away. he hated thinking... It was useless at most times. Audits flicked back as the scent of a horse somewhere near by caught his nostrils. A slight breeze had picked, and he stood facing downwind. He turned his crown slightly to see who had joined him. Her gate was steady and calm. Sweet and beautiful was what the grey beast that trotted down the New York ave was. She was young and sharp. Her coco pools swept across the terra she was now in. Her sea foam color shimmered with her moving muscles. Dakotta's youth was her whole world. Nothing could save time, it was why she lived as if there was no time to waste. Mortal life was all you had in one body, and when that life was good treat it as if it was the most presious of lovers. Her silk banner whispered a sigh as it fell back onto her young shoulder. Soft and yeilding, colors of yellow and blueish greys tangled into the sweet mass. So much like her. There was something special about this sea foam mare. Her appearance was identical to the Queen of Equines: Tyrina.
Her head tossed and she snorted. This city screamed adventure to her. She wanted to be apart of it. War wasn't something she enjoyed, but Kotta wanted to dig deeper into the secrets that coated this tangled mess of a lovers quarrel. She had been babied by uprights at one time, beaten, and even befirended. Those humans had been nothing more than what they the horses were. All different kinds of them, evil, and good alike. It didn't mean that they had been hopless. Her heart pounded in her breast as she stood on the abandone streets. This place even in its deathly silence: sang when you listened to it. This whole city sang of past problems and romance, war, blood, and even hope. Her brown orbs flicked to the tall towering mass of walls.
These things were like gods looking down at them, blotting out the sun in all their glory. Yes, these things were different, but not something that should be feared. It was a marvel just to look at them. The fae's curvy body pivoted as she jumped into a gallop in the other direction. The autum breeze picked up hauling after her. Its sensual grasp curled around her body as she ran, coaxing her to a laugh and a faster pace. Her hooves beat at the pavment in a thunderuse gate and she stretched her appendages out in front of her. She was ready to not feel numb to all that was around her. It was the age of horses and unicorns on this earth. Mans time had passed and this was their domain and vendetta at the moment. "Droit de cité!" The vixen shouted in the old tounge to the heavens. Freedom of the city, was what her words had meant.
Her wild gate was interupted by the appearance of a raven stallion in her path. He had not been there before! Her young hooves locked on breaking the speed as she dropped her weight to her hind legs to keep from running into him. She stopped no far from the black brute. She snorted and took a standing posistion looking at the taller animal. He was handsome and seemed to have a quiet look about him. Dakotta bit her lip with her teeth, a habit she had gotten from a human none the less. What was she to say after her amazing skills of watching where she was going. "Hello, I'm Dakotta. Who may you be?" Other than a rode block, she joked in her head. The filly stood their waiting on patient hooves wanting to be introduced to another of her kind.

His black orbs widened as his sight caught hold of a galloping mare. He swung around as soon as she halted. He calmed down after almost being ran over. A smile lightly played across is maw. The mare was quite beautiful... He hadn't seen a horse in a few days. The near crash was a wake up call for him, though. Could this mare be trusted? She shook his dial slightly. Why was he so skeptical. He needed to learn to trust, but so far he hadn't done a very good job of it. Words came from her delicate maw, they reached his ears. Audits flicked forward some more. Hello Dakotta. He dipped his crown in respect to the young mare. I am called Akira. His words did not hold a harsh tone, but neither too kind. We watched the mare to see her reaction. She probably hated him already, for getting in her way, wasting her time, and speaking to her without much kindness. Oh well, only one more horse to hate him, right? But he really didn't want to be hated anymore. And besides, those are not real reasons to hate someone for, right? He had no idea really. His family had certainly not thought so. He snorted slightly, turning his full attention to the mare standing before him.

Dakotta looked upon the other brute with a questioning looking in her eyes. He was very handsome, very much like the unicorn king was. He seemed aloof to approach. She shook her silk banner and danced on the tip of her grey hooves. Kotta was a wild hearted filly, and she didn't like to contimplate situations all that much. Her coco eyes looked back at the other. This stallion seemed like a stone. Cold a distant, but could be warmed up with a little heat or hot water. She smiled at that thought. Her mother had once told her that she most resembled water, when it had its raging moments and its calm ones. A smiled nipped at her maw. Her life hadn't been bad, she had never known about this war until now. Still she was reluctant to join a side. The king and Queen needed no encourgement in all of this.
Not that she wasn't a fighter. Her body was all muscle and covered in a breath taking sea foam canvas. She could fight and had a temper as well. Though the fae had always tried not to use it unless it was called for. Kotta's deep eyes looked into the other matching pools. His voice was strong and soothing. Akira. The grey mare rolled it around in her head. It was a beautiful name, to her it was almost sensual sounding. Her smiled became wider. "Well Akira, I am Dakotta and I'm sorry I almost ran into you." Her voice was sweet and soft, Like water it flowed with grace and had the softed touch. Kotta hadn't really been with her kind before this, only her mother until she had died. She had never really thought she to would see more of her kind race. Not that she had wanted the Uprights to die. They had loved her and showed their adoration to her daily. It had been all the love she had needed.
The filly shook her head and looked back at the other. What was his past like? Did he have a grusum one or just a regular horse with Uprights. Her baby eyes looked at him with pure curiosity. "Tell me what brings you here Akira?" She asked in a innocent voice not faked just was. Though if anyone looked into her eyes they knew a different personality was on the other side. One that could make the sea foam mare a raging sea.

The black stallion listened to the fae's reply. He flicked one ear back, one ear forward, pointed toward the young horse. She did not seem to hate him. That was a first. His smile stayed across his maw. It is all right, no need to appologize... His words were true. He didn't particularly like other beings apologizing to him. It made him feel... Uncomfortable for some reason. He heard another question slip fro the horses mouth. He flicked both ears forward, listening. His black banner swayed in the slight breeze that continued. A slight snort came from his nostrils once he heard her last innocent word. If you wish to know the truth, I am... Hmmm... How do I put this? Escaping. It was true, but in a different sort of way than the filly may have thought. He was not in trouble, not at all. The sea foam mare would probably want to know more. He didn't mind. She was young and curious. He lifted his right hind pillar and rested the tip of his dark dagger lightly on the ground.

She really didn't understand this creture before her. She had been told about, Zerkzies and Tyrina, how to deal with them both and their problems. But this brute was different the the old King and Queen at war. And no matter how much they liked the think the two of them weren't at war, they were and it wasn't just the Queens fault. Dakotta shook her head and snorted. Her resemblence to the Equine leader was unnaturally close, even with her sea foam grey coat. Her coco eyes traveled over the thick chested stud in front of her. Why was he here, did he have something he feared in life? She sighed. So many of her people had feared, and yet so many of them had lived happly with the Uprights. You can't say that Tyrina went wrong with her choice. Her grey canvas twiched with the uplifted wind that came from the north. Winter would be here in no time and the city would be a winter wonder land. Oh joy she thought. Rolling her big pools in her head with fake excitment. Kotta hated snow more than anything else. It was cold damp and didn't feel good on the skin. Stamping her hoof she pulled her thoughts away from the thought of snow and ill treatment. She let her thoughts stay on this soft named brute. Somehting about him needed saving she just wasn't sure what yet. His words rolled over her auds soothingly. "May I ask what your running from?" She said in the light and beautiful voice that held a power behind it.

The black stallion watched the fae as she spoke. Audits twitched backward slightly, but not in a threatening way. He straightened himself back up, putting all of his weight evenly on all fours. He narrowed his black orbs slightly, wondering if he should tell this mare that he only met a few minutes ago. He began to fidget. He was not used to standing for this long. He nodded his head to the side, gesturing that they should walk. He began to walk, knowing Kotta would follow, for he knew she was curious. He walked a few steps, then opened his maw. Family, so called friends, power, hate... I am running from all of those things. He stopped for a few seconds. Thinking about his words. I run from family because they never wanted me there. He paused again. I run from friends because they destroyed my trust. Pause. I run from power because it was being forced on me by my so called powerful family. A long pause came as he hesitated to continue walking. But his stride continued smoothly. I run from hate because... Well, that should be self explanatory. I mean, who wants to have power and be hated by everyone...? Akira glanced over at Kotta. He spoke the truth. What would she think of him now? It didn't really matter, did it? He wasn't sure. If everyone hated him here, too, then he would just end up going somewhere else. No biggy, right? He turned his dial and looks the other way, waiting for Kotta's reply.

Kotta watched the black beast with soft brown pools. She still wondered deep down what had happened to him. Why he seemed so sad, why he seemed to want to run so far in the other direction. Dakotta found herself wondering why so many of her kind held pain in them. She didn't understand how so many have had such bad lives. Her auds twitched on her head. Wondering more than anything if they knew how bad this war was gonna get. Norhirm the dead Queen had been visiting her dreams, and it seemed that there was more to this vendetta then just a love spat. The sea foam mare watched the stag with curiosity. There was no way she could understand his pain, no way she could mirror it.
His words flowed over her making her thingy her head. Such emtion lurked behind those words, this one was alot like the king of Unicorns, she relized with a start. She stomped her hoof at that thought, it was more than she could concive. The pain the king endured was much. Akira began to walk, she followed with out thought or question, but Dakotta didn't hang in the back but came up to his side. His warmth was something she didn't recognize. When you had never really been around your own for your whole life, they become something close to a stranger. He though felt good to be next to, felt good to know what that heat was for once. It was his continued words that made her stop and look at him. He too had stopped and she watched him with a sad look in her pools. "I can't imagine what you have been through in life. I never really had family other than the Uprights. My mother died when I was young so your like the second of my kind I have ever meet." She said it with humor in her voice and a smile, but there was pain in that truth.
When he began to walk and talk again she followed and listened. His words were wise and made her smile. He was good hearted to think this way. Kotta found herself luck to have meet some one such as himself. "Well then what do you think of our Queen?" She asked with true curiosity. Dakotta knew alot judged Tyrina for her mistakes, but Nohirm had made her love the mare. Every one should be forgiven their mistakes, no matter what. She watched him. His black body handsome and young, but maybe older than herself. "And I don't think bad of you." She said with a cryptic smile. There were somethings she could do that marked her as different. Ever since this Vendetta had started.

Akira had listened to what the mare had to say. His long stride never faltered as her words reached his auds. He waited until she was done speaking. And then he heard her last sentence. It caught him off guard slightly, but he didn't show it. he glanced over at her again. I want you to know, that my life doesn't particularly bug me... I am used to it... It was true, or at least Akira thought so. Then he was to answer the question. The Queen? He hardly knew her, but he had a feeling she might be judged harshly. I do not know her well enough to judge. Before I came here, I sort of heard of her... But vaguely. He paused for a moment. All I can say is that may she be a good Queen or a bad Queen, it doesn't bother me much. Just as long as she leads. His gaze had stayed on Kotta the whole time. He looked forward once again. When he was staring at the mare, his gaze was soft. The mare really was beautiful, and intelligent, although she had not been around her kind for very long. (It is fine. Sorry my psts are sort of short...)

She could only smile at him after he replied to her. So he didn't know the Queen all that well, at least he didn't judge her. Dakotta knew that alot of this war was going to change the people in it, knew that by the end of it, that it would only be the beging of something even worse. Something that would kill some and make others change alot. Dakotta still didn't understand why Nohirm had chosen her to be the one to give all of the future past and present knowledge to. She didn't understand why she found her the best candiate. Her banner tickled her neck as she turned it to look at the other horse. "So does that mean that your not against the Unicorns?" She asked with a questioning tone. She wanted to know, know if he was against them as much alot of their kind was.
Ooc: Sorry really short TT-TT]

The tall stallion listened to her words. The unicorns... He swished his tail and shook his dial, making the short mane on his neck fall to the other side. I am neither with or against the unicorns... I mean, they are just horses... But with horns... It was true, and that is what he thought of them. Unicorns may be magical, but they really were just plain old horses with horns. But we we have to fight them, let it be so. I take my place beside my own kind... He snorted and looked back at Gotta. This mare really was curious, but he was glad to answer her questions. A small smile laid upon his maw.
